Funding for research and educational efforts is sought from individuals, corporations, and government agencies. Funding will support ongoing activities relating to the science of ultraviolet light. Funding can also be earmarked for specific research and/or educational projects. The UV Foundation is available to discuss a list of possible research opportunities. Original findings may be submitted for publication to various peer-reviewed medical journals. 

In addition, the U V Foundation is interested in considering research on projects suggested by potential sponsors.

• The UVF has made a commitment of $150,000 over three years to Dr. Michael Holick , Professor of Medicine, Dermatology, Physiology and Biophysics, Boston University Medical Center, to continue his research on Vitamin D and the role that sunlight plays in producing it.
• The UVF is pleased to contribute expense funding to the CIE by funding Dr. Ann Webb , Chairwoman of Division 6: Photobiology and Photochemistry in her activities to learn more about this important cause. The goal of Photobiology and Photochemistry division is to study and evaluate the effects of optical radiation on biological and photochemical systems (exclusive of vision).
• The UVF was pleased to make a $15,000 contribution to Dr. William Rosenberg's to continue his work regarding the effects of UV exposure on Hypertension
• UVF and FDA/CDRH co-sponsored the "The Full UV Story: Reassessing & Defining the Calculus of Benefits and Risks" at the Annual Meeting of the American Society for Photobiology Session. The session featured keynote speakers: Dr. M. Holick, Dr. R. Sayer, Dr. E.W. Rosenberg and Dr. J. Van Der Leun, Mr. J. Levy
